Frequently Asked Questions

Fees 
I usually discuss my fee at our initial session. If you prefer to talk about the fee before we meet, please feel free to contact me and we can discuss by phone.

Payment 
Payment is expected at each session. Payment can be made with cash, check, credit card, or QuickPay.

Cancellations 
If you do not attend a scheduled session, and have not given 24 hours notice of cancellation, you will be required to pay the full session fee.

Insurance 
In network for Blue Cross Blue Shield. 

If you have other insurance, I can provide you with a bill that you can use to submit for reimbursement. It is best to contact your insurance carrier upfront to verify your benefits and determine the extent of coverage.

Typical Session 
A typical session lasts approximately 50 minutes.

Confidentiality 
I consider therapeutic conversations to be sacred. Any information obtained during our psychotherapy sessions will not be disclosed to anyone without your knowledge and written consent, with the following exceptions: 

· If I believe that you present an imminent, serious risk of injury or death to yourself or another;· If I have reasonable cause to believe a child's well-being or safety is compromised;· If I have reason to believe that an individual who is protected under the Illinois Elder Abuse andNeglect Act has been abused, neglected, or financially exploited;· If I receive a valid court order signed by a judge.

ABOUT ME

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist new to the Barrington area. I received a doctorate in Child and Adolescent psychology in 2004 from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. I have trained and worked in a lot of different treatment settings, including local schools, police departments, outpatient clinics, day treatment, inpatient and residential treatment settings working with kids and adults of all ages.
